I stressed for almost a year while trying to purchase a home. it started when I retired after working 35 years as a city worker and had to wait almost 6 months for my retirement check to start. But between my realtor Nechelle Davis and loan officer Patty Portocarrero, I made it through. They both assured me that once I received my pre-approval letter, find a home, submit an offer and actually get accepted, everything would move very quickly. They were right about that. Even when I had my panic attacks, they were both there to calm me down. Had I had the chance to meet Patty in person at closing, the three of us would have shared a group hug.
