About J Scott Brown

Welcome to My Website

My name is Scott Brown, and since 1998 I've been helping homeowners improve their lifestyle and cash flow through what I call Lifestyle Lending. Lending has been my life's work for the past 28 years.

Today, I focus exclusively on helping homeowners develop a mortgage strategy that reduces the overall cost of homeownership, increases monthly cash flow, and builds long-term wealth at the same time.

Most mortgage professionals focus on one thing: promising you the "lowest interest rate and fees". If that's your primary goal, I can compete there too with our $2,000 Lowest Rate and Fees Guarantee. However, while rates and fees are important, I believe the total cost of borrowing and the strategic management of home equity are often far more important—and for many homeowners, it's the best place to start.

Here's why.

For many Americans, their home is their largest and most successful investment. Studies show that roughly two-thirds of homeowners consider their home to be their best investment. Yet the equity trapped inside that home earns no rate of return. The average homeowner has more than $250,000 in home equity, but that equity often sits idle for decades.

Homeowners spend years making mortgage payments, building equity, and increasing their net worth, only to discover that when they need access to that wealth most—during retirement, a health challenge, a job loss, or another major life event—they may have difficulty qualifying to access their own money.

I believe there is a better way.

Instead of viewing your mortgage simply as debt, I believe it should be viewed as a financial tool that helps you achieve three important goals:

• Minimize the total cost of borrowing while you are most qualified.
• Build long-term wealth both inside and outside of your home.
• Create access to cash flow long before you actually need it.

The lowest interest rate is not always the best financial strategy. Sometimes a different mortgage structure can improve cash flow, preserve liquidity, create financial flexibility, and ultimately leave you in a stronger financial position with a lower overall total cost of money borrowered.

That's what I call Lifestyle Lending.

My goal is to help homeowners understand how to make their mortgage and home equity work together as part of a larger financial plan. Whether you're looking to eliminate debt, improve monthly cash flow, supplement retirement income, increase financial security, or simply make your assets work harder for you, I'll help you evaluate your options and make informed decisions.

For many retirees, more than half of their net worth is tied up in their home. Yet few people are ever taught how to strategically manage that equity. I help homeowners explore ways to put that equity to work—without necessarily selling their home.

What if your mortgage allowed you greater flexibility during retirement?
What if you had access to your equity while you were still healthy, employed, and qualified?
What if you could reposition a portion of your wealth into investments that grow outside of your home, while also creating additional monthly cash flow today?

Over time, properly managed investments have the potential to grow, generate income, and provide greater financial flexibility than leaving all of your wealth trapped inside your home's walls. These are the types of conversations I help homeowners have as they approach or enter retirement.

Let's face it—there comes a day when most of us want more cash flow, more flexibility, and more freedom. If that day is now, or if you'd like to prepare for it in advance, I'd welcome the opportunity to have a discovery call and explore whether your mortgage can be structured to work as hard for you as it does for the bank.

If you're willing to think beyond interest rates and look at the bigger picture, I'll show you simple strategies that can help you lower costs, increase cash flow, grow wealth, and improve your quality of life.
