Correspondent Lending Manager - Remote/Hybrid

Job Summary:

The Closing & Lending Manager will be responsible for growing and managing the company’s current Correspondent Lending Division, as well as developing the platform, processes, and systems needed for Agency direct lending. This role requires strong expertise in correspondent lending operations—including closing, funding, post-closing—and a solid understanding of capital markets and underwriting as valued strengths. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical skills and experience designing and implementing efficient systems to support strategic and scalable processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow the current Correspondent Lending Division, including policies, procedures, and staffing.

  • Develop the company’s agency-approved lending capabilities, including compliance and operational readiness for direct sales to GSEs and government agencies.  

  • Manage correspondent lender relationships and negotiate contracts.

  • Oversee loan delivery and quality control for correspondent loans across all operational areas: closing, funding, post-closing, and underwriting support.

  • Collaborate with underwriting, operations, capital markets, and compliance teams to ensure smooth correspondent and direct loan processing and adherence to investor guidelines.

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve systems and workflows to support operations and scale growth efficiently.

  • Manage and negotiate warehouse lines of credit to support lending funding needs.

  • Hold profit and loss (P&L) accountability for the correspondent lending division.

  • Monitor lending market trends, investor requirements, and regulatory compliance.

  • Provide regular reporting on lending performance, financial metrics, and operational metrics to senior leadership.

  • Implement best practices to grow loan volume while maintaining high-quality standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in correspondent lending with proven expertise in closing, funding, and post-closing.

  • Experience or a strong understanding of underwriting and capital/secondary markets is preferred but optional.

  • Strong technical skills with experience building or managing lending operations systems and process improvements.

  • Proven experience managing and negotiating warehouse lines of credit.

  • In-depth knowledge of correspondent loan products, investor guidelines, and secondary market processes.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO). Potentially qualify for stock options.
